Oven Roasted Pulled Pork

Updated: Apr 10, 2020

We know some of you like a good BBQ pulled pork, but maybe you've never made it! This recipe has the perfect seasoning for you to mold it into your favorite style of BBQ, and no grill or smoker needed. You can prep this delicious beauty right in your oven.

Macronutrient Balance: 21g Protein / 7g Fat/ 0g Carbohydrates - this makes approx. 8 servings (4oz each)

Ingredients:

  • 1 boneless pork shoulder (approx. 2lbs)

  • 3 Tbsp paprika

  • 1 Tbsp dry mustard

  • 3 Tbsp coarse salt

  • 2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.

  2. Mix seasonings together and rub all around the pork shoulder.

  3. Cut off a large piece of foil and wrap the seasoned pork shoulder so it's completely covered. Place in a baking dish or dutch oven (do not use a cookie sheet/baking sheet because the pork will create its own juices so a deeper baking dish is necessary)

  4. Place pork in the oven and let cook for 4.5-5 hours.

  5. Pull pork out of the oven and unwrap the foil.

  6. Let sit for 5-7 minutes to let the steam out and cool before shredding.

  7. Serve with a side of coleslaw and your favorite sauce!
