Crockpot Salsa Chicken


There is nothing better than a simple recipe and this one screams simple. Even better, it's only two ingredients! We know some of you are busy, or you're prepping other meals and want at least one of them to be mindless so here it is!

Macronutrient Balance: 23g Protein / 3g Fat / 4g Carbohydrates

This recipe makes approximately 10 servings (each 4.3 oz)


Ingredients: 

  • 2 lbs 11 oz of boneless skinless chicken breast

  • 1 16oz jar of chunky salsa (choose one with no added sugars)


Instructions:

  1. Place the chicken breasts inside the crockpot and dump your jar of salsa on top.

  2. Set at high heat for 5.5 hours. 

  3. Once the timer goes off turn off the heat setting, shred chicken with two forks and let sit in the crockpot for an additional thirty minutes.
